Hi I'm Karina!
I first started to learn music at the age of 7 when I began playing the flute. Later during high school I began to learn the Oboe and began a lifelong learning and love of music. I commenced my Bachelor of Music in Advanced Performance at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music in Brisbane and soon was employed in professional playing opportunities thereafter.
I later studied at the Australian National Academy of Music in Melbourne with Jeffrey Crellin (Principal Oboe, MSO) and completed my Master of Arts in Music Performance at Monash University.
I have performed and worked with various orchestras and ensembles around Australia including the Queensland Symphony Orchestra and the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, as well as performances internationally.
I also hold a Graduate Diploma in Learning and Teaching from USQ in secondary music and instrumental music education.
Apart from my qualifications, I am a passionate and dedicated instrumental music teacher and I specialise in teaching Oboe, Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Bassoon, Piano and Voice. I teach students of all ages and all inquiries are welcome!
Happy Practicing!
